Biography

I'm a 27 year old man from Northern Ireland who has always enjoyed coming up with stories and developing ideas. The Uninvited Guest is my first attempt at anything serious and have thoroughly enjoyed the time and effort it has taken to write it. I am a keen viewer of all horror films but to me there is not much in the way of 'good' horror films anymore. It has become a glittering mess of hollywood polish and cliched scenes that find me yawning to myself rather than being genuinely scared. Its unfortunate. I would like to make a living from writing horror stories even if it was nothing more than a modest one. Fame doesn't interest me, but acknowledgement does.

Inspiration

I have been inspired to write from a very young age especially in the horror genre. As a child i have vague memories of watching horror films and my mother and father telling me the stories of Sweeney Todd the Demon Barber of Fleet Street and the Amityville Horror and since then, my fascination for anything of the horror or supernatural genre has simply grown. I love reading and hearing about ghost stories and reading anything of a macabre nature and thus my novel The Uninvited Guest does possess all of the qualities that i am interested in.
