Sober, relentlessly self-effacing and hopelessly romantic, incorrigibly so, even after all the tears. My heart still prowls the midnight streets, but without the barrooms and the booze.

Biography
Uprooted and transplanted from snowy New England to the orange groves and arid wasteland of Southern California, I fought first with my father, then with every other form of authority that got in my way. When the Vietnam War came calling for me, I went on the run, an odyssey that eventually led me to being incarcerated in a Mexican prison. It wasn't until the late eighties that I truly accepted the sixties were over, set aside the booze and drugs and embarked on a life of writing. To date, I have one published novel, The Trip Into Milky Way, a tale about coming of age in the sixties, http://www.tripintomilkyway.com/, three unpublished novels, a memoir and a fifth novel in the works. In simplest terms, I have no daily redemption without trying to unravel the mess of thoughts and emotions squirming in my head.
Inspiration
Bukowski, not for who he was as a man, but for his brutal honesty, Hemingway for the terse precision of his prose, the Russians for their realism and every good story teller who told it straight and followed in their wake
