Biography

I live on a central Iowa acreage with my husband. We enjoy taking care of a large garden, lots of flowers and animals. I retired a few months ago from the local nursing home where I was a CNA for 15 1/2 years. I thought I might regret leaving but I manage to keep busy and once a month I go back to visit the residents. My latest book was just released and now I'm waiting for cold weather to start another one. I want to enjoy what is left of the summer.

Inspiration

I have several genres. Much of what I have written has been influenced by my parents. They loved westerns, and Mom loved romance. Dad was a wonderful story teller with a sense of humor. Add to that the many stories I heard from residents about their lives during my employment at the nursing home and I was all set with many stories. All I need is the time and imagination to write each story down into a book. Perhaps I wouldn't have been brave enough to put my stories into book form if it hadn't been for all the good reviews I received from so many people. That encouragement kept me writing.
