Eveline Horelle Dailey
My prose reflects my inspiration, a marriage of two cultures, French and English the language of my thoughts. I write and speak with subtle messages to my fellow men.

    Biography

I am Eveline Horelle Dailey, I write articles and have authored two books, the first "LESSONS FROM THE LAKESIDE" and the second THE CANVAS - A SECRET FROM THE HOLOCAUST in both cases my writing is somewhat poetic and infused with subtle messages to the reader. A zest for life makes me a passionate individual. Humor, my constant companion is often watered down with tears. The plight of humanity keeps me interested, wondering why and why not... I am a public speaker, a presenter at various writer's workshops. I am a painter and a weaver who finds mixing colors to be much like writing a strings of words with the ultimate goal to create something worthwhile. Although a vegetarian I often cook, with a French twist, what my carnivore friends and relatives find to be extensions of my creativity. The secret is in the wine but I cannot divulge all my secret. To approximate and render true the dance of human behavior in fiction fascinates me. A marriage of textures, colors and spaces creating new and complex patterns. Writing, painting and weaving find their reason for being at the bridge between my right and left brain. My fascination with sacred geometry and the value of numbers is one of making attempts to understand my own mind in relation to the world around me.

    Inspiration

My great inspirations come from nature and forces of the Universe I do not pretend to understand. The spark in people eyes and sometimes the lack of light in the same eyes are the complex elements in place to trigger something within me. My first book was inspired by nature, my second comes to my readers from series of distorted memories, stories I heard and various influences of my youth. This arrangement will unfold into a mysterious story of great love finding its beginnings as a young girl escapes the ovens of Germany. The fertility of my imagination is probably a consequence of tutors demanding essays from me when I was very young. Writing as a result of these exercises became a detestable endeavor until one day I discovered the malleable and minute nuances of my own mind. A need for the right and precise word became a thirst I could not quench.
