Biography

I was born and raised in New York City, 55 years ago. It has taken me this long to throw my hat into the ring. Although I've been nudged towards writing a few times in the past, I've never really considered doing anything with this talent until a year ago. I write children's picture books, steeped in magical realism. My stories are embued with the grittiness that characterize the neighborhoods that I grew up in. Thus, I've put up a little web-page and started my search through the internet for anything that can help me along. I'm pleased to find Nothing Binding, and I'm pleased to meet you.

Inspiration

I'm inspired by the timelessness of very young children. Although wordly sophistication reaches ever backwards into children's lives, there is a point beyond which it cannot go. Children that must be read to are every bit as enchanted by storytelling as ever they were. At a book reading, I read a Halloween story amid a crowded party. The hostess has a son with Down's Syndrome, who sat at my feet and hung on every word. That's when I began believing that maybe I have something.
