My book "Who, Me? Paranoid?" is a collection of humor pieces, ala Erma Bombeck. I've taken ordinary situations and daunting experiences, and found the funny aspects in them.

    Look and Listen

    Biography

I was originally trained as a chemist, but began to write when my children were young, first little poems for kids, then light verse for adults and non-fiction pieces, and finally books. I've published 4 biographies for young people, besides a novel, memoir of a cowriter, and poetry. I lived most of my life in Ohio, raised 3 kids, became a widow in '84, started dating a Cleveland man, and in 1999 I followed him to California and married him. Besides writing, my hobbies are playing bridge and bird-watching.

    Inspiration

I'm a lover of nature, and a lot of my writing reflects that (poetry and non-fiction for kids). Over the years I've developed a sense of humor, which led me to write "Who, Me? Paranoid?" Things may not seem funny when they happen to you, but after a while, looking back, you realize they were really funny. Even arguments with my husband have their humorous aspects.
