Biography

ERIC ENCK was born in Ephrata, Pennsylvania and lived there for the first 20 years of his life. At fifteen years old he had to murder his family dog because of it becoming rabid. In the following years after going to therapy Enck became familiar with Edgar Allen Poe and Clive Barker and started writng stories of his own. In the fall of 2003, he was published by a major publisher in New York. His first book TELL ME YOUR NAME went on to sell over 30,000 copies world wide and now, his third book is ready for release. he is also a contributor to many anthologies such as THE LITERARY BONE magazine and THE SOUND OF HORROR He now lives in Delaware with his wife and two children.

Inspiration

I'm defined by guilt, ladden angst. I'm defined by God and his unknown world. I'm defined by serial killers and what they had yet to offer this world. The creatures that are still being discovered on this planet thrill me with possibilities. I sign certain copies of my books at signings in blood, but mostly in silver marker (keeps werewolves away) and I am an avid asian sword collector. I love japanese anime and old muscle cars. Some of my favorite bands are TOOL, NINE INCH NAILS, ALICE COOPER, KISS (who are commonly featured in my books) and older rock such as THE DOORS I'm influenced in writing my works by walking through cemetaries, wondering how a person has died. I'm influenced by horrible acts of crime and wonderful acts of heroism. I love old folklore and real events that have shaped society. Horror is included in this.
