Biography

I grew up in Mississippi and graduated along with my wife from Auburn University. I am a veterinarian in Memphis, Tennessee. I have four children and two grandchildren. I am an avid reader and prefer Christian books and magazines. I also enjoy so-called "self-help" books. My favorite fiction writer is Og Mandino and I hope to some day write a couple of Christian fiction books that are similar to his books. Right now I am focusing on non-fiction writing. I just published my first book of which I am really the editor. It is a revised and abridged version of "The Golden Gems of Life" which was first published in the late 1800's. I came across a copy several years ago and the message was just as applicable for today's generation as it was for theirs. The beauty of the language appealed to me. I simply eliminated a lot or repetition, reorganized the book under several main sections, and updated some of the words and phrases without disrupting the beauty of the original language. I worked at it off and on for several years. My next book is well on the way to being finished. It will be entitled, "The Wise Pet Owner: How To Save Money On Your Pet's Healthcare."
