Dorien Grey
I am a teller of tales in which I hope you may recognize something of yourself and your own experiences. We are a team, you and I.

    Biography

There is neither time nor space enough for a full biography. Suffice it to say I began life as Roger Margason and, as the result of a lifelong battle with the constraints of reality, have gradually become in effect two people: Roger, who is trapped in and subject to al the rules of the "real" world, and Dorien, who is free of all restraints and who, with the help of Roger's fingers, writes books. I am shameless in my obsession with finding new readers, and to that end I dangle all sorts of carrots on the end of various sticks. Because you, for example, understandably may be hesitant just to leap right in and buy one of my books, I have put up the first chapter of all my books on my website (http://www.doriengrey.com), where I also feature several video book trailers , and offer you the chance to register to win a free copy of one of my books. So that you may get to know a bit about me as a person, I have two major and several minor blogs running everywher from blogspot to AuthorsDen to Amazon. "A World Ago" (http://www.doriengrey.blogspot.com) is a compilation of letters I wrote to my parents while in the Navy more than half a century ago. These are not your "I am fine. How are you?" letters, but chronicle my adventures as a Naval Aviation Cadet and, later, as a common sailor aboard an aircraft carrier in the Mediterranean during the height of the cold war. My second major blog is "Dorien Grey and Me" (http://www.doriengreyandme.com) which is more or less a Pinata of pieces of my life and thoughts. Again, they are presented in hopes you may find something of yourself in them, and find some small comfort in realizing you're not quite alone as you sometimes may think you are.

    Inspiration

Corny as it may sound, life really is my inspiration. I am totally fascinated--albeit often also frustrated--by it, and by the things that unite us as human beings
