Biography

David Snape grew up in South Jersey close to the Atlantic Ocean and also Philadelphia. After graduating high school, he joined the US military and worked in aviation electronics. After the Navy, he went to school to become a chiropractice. After a few years of training his discontent grew, therefore he left chiropractic school never to return. Since then, David has worked in toxicology and information technology. His passion for health and the human body never left him. David was told by his dentist that he had gum disease. Disappointed by the lack of information provided by his dentist, David set out to find his own answers. As a result, the book, What You Should Know about Gum Disease came about.

Inspiration

Very simply, I had a problem to solve. My dentist wanted to perform a Scaling and Root Planing Treatment. Just the sound of it was scary, I was also not convinced that it would provide any long term benefit. I decided to do some searching on my own. Five months later, when I returned to the dentist, they were shocked. They said I no longer needed the treatment that they previously had said was the 'only thing' that could help. They were wrong. I realized that others needed the information I had uncovered. This is how the book, What You Should Know about Gum Disease came into existence.
