Biography

Dave Bedard shares his life in the business world to guide students who prepare to enter. Growing up in Public Housing Projects, he went on to become a first generation College graduate. Like so many others, he lacked the confidence in himself to believe that he could go very high. However, through trial and error, combined with a resolve to never go back to living in the Project, Bedard went on to build successful entrepreneurial ventures and obtain Financial Independence. Dave now devotes much of his time giving back. He serves on numerous College Boards and Advisory Committees, as well as The Junior Achievement Board in Massachusetts. Dave also is a guest Lecturer and trainer in Leadership Development. "I hope to equip students with the belief that they CAN compete and should reach high as they pursue their Dreams! My motto is "IF a kid from the Project can become a Millionaire, so can you. Just Believe in yourself and Make it Happen.

Inspiration

It was my work on campus that made me realize that today's students fear what's next. They have all this education to prepare them, yet they are uncertain of their ability to go out and make their way in the world. If we can build a bridge of belief...a glimpse of "what the world is looking for" from them, then perhaps, they will believe in themselves enough to go out with a healthy self-esteem and make the world a better place. There is so much time and money invested in education, it stands to reason that we NEED to help them put their best foot forward and then continue putting one in front of the other until they are living their dreams. This still is the Land of Opportunity.
