Biography
My creativity began to emerge while writing poems. After high school graduation, I continued to write in the form of metaphorical editorials in a private journal. I entered into the high tech industry and took business writing courses at San Jose State to enhance my professional skills. Writing letters of recommendation, executive correspondence and presentations became my daily tasks for over a decade. While taking a sabbatical in late 2006, I accepted a challenge and wrote the novel, West Coast Lady. While waiting for West Coast Lady to be published, I wrote children's chapter book, Sir Licksalot & The Maverick Fools. Creative writing is a passion I enjoy immensely. I own a business and I am actively involved in youth organizations. I spend my family time with my son and our miniature dachshund. We currently reside in the land of opportunity, the Silicon Valley.
Inspiration
What inspired me to write my first novel, West Coast Lady, was the desire to share and inspire women with wisdom, knowledge, experiences and above all, make a profound impact on one's perspective so she can empower herself to thrive! The inspiration for my second book, Sir Licksalot & The Maverick Fools, was to write a book that my son and his tween friends could relate to. They struggle to find a book that interests them. Sparking their desire to read past the first chapter provided me with the inspiration to write an entire chapter book.
