I'm a secretary by day, an author by night, and a romantic at heart. My objective is to affect a reader's emotions ... excite them, frighten them, engage them, and hopefully touch their hearts.

Biography
I'm a lifetime resident of Huntington, West Virginia and work for the Cabell County Public School System. I'm a very proud member of the Military Writers Society of America, Romance Writers of America, and American Authors of America. ”Love Leaves No One Behind” is my debut novel. Writing this romantic thriller, which tells the story of a U.S. Army Ranger (Jesse Daulton) and a grieving woman (Mikayla Mitchell), caused a life-altering discovery for me. After extensively researching the lead character of an Army Airborne Ranger, I began to embrace the true meaning of patriotism, gaining a deep and abiding understanding of the extreme and selfless sacrifice made by American soldiers each and every day of their lives. My heart is filled with a deep and reverent respect for them. ”Love Leaves No One Behind” is my humble tribute those serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. On a personal note, the simple things in life are what I enjoy the most. I love cooking, listening to good music, taking long walks in the park, watching a classic movie, and/or relaxing with a good book and a cup of tea. I love to dance in my kitchen while I’m cooking. I enjoy curling up in a chair next to a large open window, watching and listening to a nice, steady, warm summer rain. One of these days, I’m going to shed my inhibitions and go outside and play in it … splash around in the rain ... take a walk in it without the use of an umbrella. I haven't done that since I was a child. That would be quite freeing I would think.
Inspiration
My inspiration for writings comes from an enduring love affair with words. Nothing gives me more pleasure than to play with words. It amazes me how effective they can be. I've been a reader and a writer since I can remember, and I hope I'm still doing it even when I can't remember. As hokey as it sounds, the inspiration for "Love Leaves No One Behind" came to me in a dream. I remember waking up and thinking to myself what a great love story that vivid night vision would make. Several years passed before I gave in to the tugging at my heart, and began putting that dream to paper. Although working a full day, I completed my inspired manuscript in a little more than ten months. In retrospect, I don’t know that I've ever been happier than during those tenacious hours of writing that first novel. It was frustrating and nerve racking and absolutely wonderful!
