Biography

I was born in Chicago, Illinois. With my biological father being in the military, my family moved around quite a bit during the first seven years of my life. I have a combination introverted/extroverted personality and, like most writers, I do have my little quirks. There is no one event or decision in my life that really defines me and I have no definitive moment. I started writing when I was in the second grade. I started my first novella when I was 13 and finished it when I was 33. In 2004, I submitted my manuscript to www.publishamerica.com and they published it.

Inspiration

At this point in my life, I would have to say that my inspiration is my young nephew who died at the age of 11 months and 2 days due to complications from Down Syndrome. There are several influences in my life. One is my second grade teacher, the woman who opened my eyes to writing. The other influences are college instructors that I have had and became quite close to.
