Biography

Combining her passion for history and the intrigue of the interpersonal psychological dynamic, Cathy has created genuine characters, realistic plots twists with historical reference for modern and compelling story lines. Moving from Cincinnati to Phoenix in 1980, Cathy enjoys the arid climate of the desert and now shares her home with her two Bichon Frises, Sophie and Whitney.

Inspiration

Two things intrigue me more than anything-how history affects us today and how our relationships from childhood play a critical role in our behavior as adults. Inspiration as a writer comes when I pull from a specific historical event and apply a particular family dynamic. Pushing the characters into situations that propel them beyond a point from which they cannot return, then watching to find out what they will do gives them realism and validation and gives me limitless opportunity for creativity.
