Biography
Carole Ann is a native of Oregon. Along with their two children, she resides with her own special hero who shares her crazy sense of humor and love for animals. The Lee family is owned by, "Hunter"—a German Shepherd pup who thinks the world was put here to pet him, "Turk"—an English Budgie, and two horses: "Ace"—a registered Quarter Horse and "Nacoma"—a registered Paint whose legendary Medicine Hat markings make him a rare sight. Having always been fascinated by the thought of space travel, yet equally captivated by the romance of the tall sailing ships, Carole Ann’s goal has been to integrate the two worlds in a futuristic romance that sizzles with both high tech as well as the swashbuckling intensity of a high seas adventure. Carole Ann began writing on a lark in the early nineties. In 1994, at a writer’s conference she had the privilege of meeting and submitting BANNER’S BONUS to a New York editor. Eight months later, BANNER’S BONUS was in the bookstores as a Love Spell release. As a member of Romance Writers of America, she has placed highly in every contest she has entered, and consistently earns four and five star reviews. When writing Carole Ann likes her earphones on as she listens to smooth jazz. She says she couldn't write without her music and a couple of her favorite artists are guitarists Peter White and Russ Freeman When she's not writing she loves reading, gardening and horseback riding.
Inspiration
Carole Ann says that Scifi author extraordinaire, William C. Dietz influenced her desire to write. Not only did she learn through his books what a spaceport smelled like, he writes with such boistrous description it puts you right there. At the time she discovered Mr.Dietz the children were small and she was a stay at home mom reading one of his series. Thing was, Mr. Dietz mainly writes for a male readership. So when his hero fell in love and married, it all happened within a few pages. Wondering about the proposal had Carole Ann testing the waters of her own story. From there she joined Romance Writers of America, was invited into a critique group and BANNER'S BONUS began taking shape.
