Inspiration
I grew up in a small town in Ohio. Our library started out as a little room on the back of a city building. My mother was an avid reader. She and I would walk to the library weekly. I credit her for instilling in me a love of reading. I wrote my first story when I was in high school, typing it on a portable typewriter my father bought me to use for homework. I read my first Agatha Christie novel in 1959. It was called Ordeal by Innocence. From that moment on I was hooked on mysteries. In the same year I read a novel by Paul Wellman called The Fiery Flower, which was a supernatural tale about a woman stranded on a remote island with two beings she comes to believe are gods. That introduced me to the paranormal genre. Now I write paranormal mysteries an cozies. I've also written a true crime book and suspense novel.
