    Look and Listen

    Biography

Carmin Wharton is an oddity because she is a "native Floridian;" most Floridians are transplants. Lessons Learned: While Looking for Love in All the Wrong Faces is her first book and it is a self-published work. Currently Carmin happily works from home as an online marketing consultant for small businesses and solopreneurs (entrepreneurs who work alone). She is also a highly sought after professional speaker and are topics are directed toward two groups - women and college students. Her messages are designed to empower and enlighten women and to assist college students in enjoying a successful college career and preparing for life after college. Her professional experience has mainly been in the higher education arena. She has served as a Student Services Manager, Program Coordinator, Academic Advisor and Senior Financial Aid Officer. She left her last job (just over broke) as an Academic Advisor to complete and publish her manuscript. She is the divorced mother of two adult children and is madly in love with her only grandchild - a girl. She lives with her family in Tampa, Florida.

    Inspiration

Carmin was inspired to write this particular book because she began to encounter numerous women she counseled as college students, those who were co-workers and personal friends and acquaintances who, even though they were successful in other areas of their lives, continuously found themselves involved in unsuccessful relationships with men. She realized that the experiences she gleaned from 3 marriages, 3 divorces and other unsatisfactory relationships she had endured was valuable experience. Her inspiration came from the realization that she had a message that women everywhere, from all walks of life, needed to hear. The message is this: you are enough. Whether you are in a relationship or not, you are enough. Carmin also realized that life is short and tomorrow is not promised. She decided not to die with her book still inside of her.
