Biography
C.L. Lorentson is a former Texas native who relocated to the Seattle, Washington area in 2001. A freelance writer who specializes in juvenile fiction; her first major work, "The Sunset in My Mailbox", first appeared in Spider Magazine in 2001, and was also included in the 2006 Reading Grade Level 3 WASL test. Her article on the habits of the turkey vulture appeared in Wild Outdoor World magazine. Other works of hers have appeared in Eotu, The Red Palm, Hob-Nob, and The Texas Young Writers Newsletter. C.L. enjoys owl-collecting, movies based on comic books, and struggling to keep from living in a van down by the river.
Inspiration
C.L credits The Muppet Show with teaching her everything she ever needed to know about culture. Other literary influences are: Katherine Paterson, [read Bridge to Terabithia. Read it and weep, all of you!], Richard Adams, [ditto on Watership Down.] JRR Tolkien, and Beverley Cleary. [Don't laugh. You know you love Ramona and Beezus every bit as much as I do.]
