Biography

I hold an advanced degree in electrical engineering and have worked in the investment industry. I reside in South Carolina.

Inspiration

During the Vietnam War, I witnessed the meteoric rise and subsequent unprecedented fall of a democracy movement led by the Buddhists of Vietnam. Because my signal unit provided communication for CIA, and State Department personnel, many of us in it heard things discussed that did not track with news reports and official communiqués. This discordance caused misgivings among many of us. These concerns never disappeared in my case. Over the years, after doing extensive research into what went on in 1966, I decided to write Diverting the Buddha.
