Biography

I grew up in a small town in New Jersey, the sixth of seven children. I remember reading by flashlight in my closet as a child. Getting lost in a book was one of my favorite pastimes. Time spent ice skating, sledding, swimming and bike riding gave me a love for the outdoors. Since my senior year in high school, I have had been working with children. That is what started me on my path in Early Childhood Education. I wrote my first children's book as a class assignment. That is when the first seed to write children's picture books was planted. One day, many years later, I penned a children's picture book and began sending it to publishers. After many years of rejections I put it on the shelf. Twenty years later I resurrected that manuscript and with a renewed passion and determination began revising, revising, revising. I really believed in this story and never gave up on my vision. I am currently self publishing that book. Look for this and several other of my picture books that are forthcoming. My husband ,David and I have been married for 30 years and have spent those years raising our family in beautiful Fort Collins, Colorado. These days are spent enjoying the beautiful Cache La Poudre River that runs through Fort Collins and the nearby Colorado Rockies. I enjoy horseback riding, bicycling, hiking, long walks and reading. I loved snuggling in bed reading picture books to my children and now I enjoy that with my five beautiful grandchildren, River, Canyon, Jonathan, Grace and Avonlea. It would be so rewarding to have a parent snuggle up and read one of my books to their child.
