Biography

Betty Jo Schuler writes for children, teens, and adults. She also teaches online writing courses for WOW (Writer's Digest) and Barnes & Noble U. An Indiana native and former elementary school teacher, she and her husband moved to Florida for the sunshine, palm trees, and tropical flowers...and to get away from cold weather and snow. She has always been more inclined to read, write, and work crossword puzzles than take part in athletics, but since moving to "Paradise," she has fun with water aerobics, taking walks, spending time with friends, and is about to take up her most daring adventure--golf lessons. Inspiration

I always loved reading, and I consider reading good books my biggest inspiration. Journalism class, English classes, Literature...all of these contributed to my desire. I remember an English class simply called "Books," that I loved! We chose our books from a list and got a certain number of points based on the difficulty, and then we took a quiz over the selection. We all worked independently, and I discovered many new writers this way.
