Biography
Betsy is a true renaissance woman, in the arts of photography and the written word. She is a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter. Betsy lectures about greyhounds to schools, public libraries and professional groups. She is a representative of Greyhounds As Pet of Northeast Florida. As a Therapeutic Facilitator Betsy’s’ greyhounds are Registered Therapy dogs. They visit various organizations, schools, hospitals, mental facilities and retirement homes. Betsy’s work has earned a tribute from the Florida House of Representatives and the Florida Department of Education has recorded OFF THE TRACK as a Talking Book for the blind and physically impaired. It is one of the few talking books that the author narrated. Betsy is a Member of the American League of Pen Woman and the Florida’s Writers Group.
Inspiration
My inspiration for writing OFF THE TRACK is my deep love for children and greyhounds. Children need to learn to cope with todays presures and understand the benefit of working together (despite differences) to overcone problems.
