I was the author of a popular regional guidebook. I now have written a book about writing a travel guide--or any kind of travel book.

Biography
After publishing and selling my book, New Jersey Day Trips for 18 years, I sold the rights to a University press. I have now published Crafting the Travel Guidebook as an aid to all those who want to turn their travel experiences into prose. I live in New Jersey, but have also resided in New York, Virginia, New Mexico and Hawaii. Although I have traveled extensively throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe, the bulk of my articles in local and online newspapers and magazines have been about regional destinations. I have also had humorous articles appear in Women's world, Signature, Foreword magazine and the NY Times Drama Section. As for my personal life. I am divorced and have two grown children. One lives nearby in New Jersey, the other in Toronto, Ontario. I write articles on www.authorsden.com and www.associatedcontent.com. Nobody can find the latter because they do not index by author, but I have written an article on the Crossings Outlets in the Poconos if you are interested.
Inspiration
I was inspired to write Crafting the Travel Guidebook after seeing a rash of books about writing, publishing and travel writing that did not seem to cover the points I would have covered. Also astonished by ads for online travel writing courses that promised free travel and lots of money for those who shelled out $149 or so. I figured I could deliver better content for less money.
