Biography

Monica Marlowe was born in Toronto and later moved to Los Angeles. While in LA, Monica studied the craft of novel writing and participated in the Noel Hynd Workshop. She now makes her home in North Carolina and divides her time between the East and West Coasts. Monica is currently writing a memoir, The Gift Horse, about acquiring her first horse and finding herself on a most unexpected path.

Inspiration

Life is my muse! When I was a young girl, I saw an article about an author and it featured a photograph of her with all her book covers framed on the wall behind her - I was hooked! Life had other plans for quite a while and my writing took a back burner to jobs in corporate America. One day, I just decided it was time for me to start writing and I signed up for a writing class, got up at 4am to write before work, and now my debut novel is being released. I am inspired by my family and friends, movies I see, books I read, food I eat, music I listen to, and now, most of all, my beautiful horse.
