Biography

Assuanta Collins, author of two books, "Until the Next Time" and Until the Next Time 2: God's Plan. Dynamic writer with a gift of adding drama and suspense to her novels. She has been compared to Sista Soulijah and Terri McMillian. Assuanta Collins is the publisher of Asta Publications and Imprint Nile Valley Press. Nile Valley Press, publishes personal and professional development books written by public speakers.

Inspiration

Inspired by parents. My father and I were the only readers in our home. My father introduced me to the works of James Baldwin, Eldridge Cleaver, Toni Morrison, Alice Walker, Claude MckKay, Zora Neale Hurston, Maya Angelou, Richard Wright, and many others at an early age. It is through the love of reading I became a writer. I began writing my own novels in "marble composition" notebooks at the age of nine. My stories consisted of Haiku poetry and other types of literature.
