Biography

I lives in southwestern Ohio with her husband, her daughter, and my cat, with another baby on the way. A native of the region, I have nonetheless lived all over the world, having fallen in love with both France, where I found my career and my husband, and India, where I dream of retiring some day. I started writing when I was 12 and haven't looked back since. A connoisseur of wine and horses, I'm as comfortable on a farm as I am in the big cities of the world

Inspiration

I find my inspiration in everything I do and in all the experiences life throws at me, from a fog-bound night on a replica schooner to a year of living in France. My daughter is a constant source of inspiration, though at two, she rarely shows up in my fiction. Writing for me is also a way to process my own emotions through fiction, so often, my characters' emotional state reflects mine at the time of writing. The majority of my characters are in gay relationships because I feel it's an issue that needs to be addressed in our society and I hope my fiction will make people look at things a little differently.
