Biography

Anthony Toro is a freelance writer who enjoys reading and writing fictional thrillers and paranormal thrillers. In addition to reading and writing, Anthony’s interests and hobbies include playing and watching soccer, listening to music, including occasionally playing the drums, running and spending time with his family. Anthony was born in Hollywood, California, and now resides in Tucson, Arizona with his wife, Tina, and their three children: Brittanee, Darren and Jocelynn. Anthony’s attraction for the unique southwest beauty is consistently referenced in each of his five novels. His connection to the southwest has helped develop a substantial following in Arizona. He has been invited to, and attended, several book club meetings to discuss his numerous books, as well as invited to speak at various schools. His first novel, Web of Deceit, has been consistently requested to be featured in all levels of schools due to the valuable message it delivers regarding online predators, in hope of providing children and their parents a simple reminder as to the inherent risks affiliated with the internet.

Inspiration

The original inspiration to write "Web of Deceit" was pretty straight-forward. As a father to young children and careful to oversee their activity on the world-wide-web, I recognized the innocence of their youth as they carelessly surfed the Internet. Consequently, as tracking cookies and Pop-UP screens displayed inappropriate material, even though their quiries and selections were completely harmless, I quickly realizes how ill-equipped and unprepared society is for this intrusive yet necessary evil. I felt there was a need to enlighten both adults and teens as to the potential harm that exists while utilizing the Internet. Thus, the motivation for writing Web of Deceit was created.
