    Biography

I immigrated to winnipeg M B Canada in one of the coldest november days in 1966 at the age of 25.In the old country Greece, through hard work I had earned the title of pastry chef by apprenticeship. In Canada I worked as a baker at the Fort Garry bakery which in five years I bought business and building and run it successfully for 25 years before retiring. In 1972 I returned to Greece on vacation where I met and got married to a wonderful girl. We raised two children, one got a degree in computer science and the other became a physician. For as long as I can remember my favor pasttime was reading papers and books. I started writing a true story of my father's escape from near execution by the rebeles of the Greek civil war 1946-1949. An autobiography that gave me the courage to write a novel. (Charred In Paradise) was published by Publish America in 2008. I continued with (An Unfortunate Blunder) which I am trying to publish with Nothing Binding.

    Inspiration

What inspired me was my father'escape from the rebels when they snached him from his bed at gun point in the middle of night taking him to the mountain only in his underwear to meet as they had said their chif. In an ambush on the way by a patroling military squad he seized the opportunity to get away. He moved his family to a near by city and through hard struggle earn the daily bread. He managed to survive in a small room a family of eight until his siblings grew up, got some education and got jobs to help the economic situation. He was my reason to start putting words on the page. His struggle in life was my inspiration.
