Biography
Angela Fitch was born in Queens, New York and raised in New Jersey with two sisters. Angela attended Coppin State University in Baltimore, MD., where she earned her B.S.in Education. She went on to receive her M.Ed. from Western Maryland College. Angela Fitch is an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., as well as a member of the National Education Association (NEA). Her zest for life and many positive role models along the way, lead her to write poetry and other works of fiction. Poetry for the Soul is a collection of poems on every topic. You will be intrigued by the clarity and visual use of language. This book will awaken your political, spiritual and intellectual nature. It will encourage you to rethink your role in society and help you to thirst for change.
Inspiration
Some of my inspiration came from the greatest mentors in the world -who taught me to believe in myself and always strive to be the best. 1. Bill Lewis ( Carl Lewis's Father) 2. Coach Doc Williams ( World Masters champion in Track and Field 1991). My Heros really inspired me to believe anything is possible. 1. Wilma Rudolph- Born with Polio and then became a world champion athlete. 2. Angela Davis- My Namesake- Activist, Professor, Author and Leader/. Writers I enjoy reading : James Patterson, Nikki Giovanni, Maya Angelou, JL King (my publisher), Alice Walker and Steven King.
