Biography

Born in Chicago in '44. My great grandchildren are sure I invented dirt (a base canard since it was my elder brother who invented dirt. I invented mud pies). I live in the Pacific Northwest with my wife of 35 years. I've written one Science Fiction novel (which will NEVER see the light of day, let alone be published) and finishing up on my second. I'm a lifelong SF nut, having been weaned on Robert Heinlein's work. Enjoy some fantasy if well-written with good character development. Don't like horror. A sucker for happy endings. I currently work as the Director of Technical Services for a computer services firm. Unremarkable childhood. Great parents (now departed). The usual bumps and bruises. Divorced twice from women who apparently developed good taste AFTER the wedding. Current wife is an irreplaceable gem. We love to go camping (roughing it smoothly in a travel trailer). We're both Mariners fans, however my lovely wife prefers to avoid Seahawk games (which doesn't stop me from enjoying them). Regular church goers. I sing in the choir at the sufferance of our patient director. My work often takes us to other parts of the country for extended periods. Never met anyone in the midwest I didn't like. Other travels include a trip on a 4-masted Grand Banks Schooner in the Caribbean, Canada (Vancouver and Vancouver Island), and Hawaii (Oahu and Kauai).

Inspiration

Heinlein. 'Nuff said? No? Okay, the experiences of a long life and the aliens of Victory Crane's Science Fiction Novelists workshop who savage my scrivenings until I get it right (the methane breathers are the worst critics of the lot).
