    Biography

Addison Gast is an action-adventure author who writes about the military, veterans and aviation. His stories relate to veterans who have flown aircrew and air mobility adventures. He is a retired veteran with forty-three years of service (active and reserve) in the U.S. Naval Air Command as an aircraft mechanic, flight engineer and loadmaster. He first became fascinated with writing about aircrews and the men who make the aircraft fly during his active duty during the Korean War. He also wrote a column for the base newspaper The North Islander in 1952-53. his military background gives him knowledge of military comradeship and how people react to critical confrontations as well as humor in the action. He is presently retired and is living in New Braunfels, Texas with his wife Cristela where he is working on his next book about veterans and their part in fighting terrorism today. He is the editor of the website WESUPPORTTHEVETS.COM and his short stories appear in Late Harvest (ISBN 0-9654876-2-8 published by SNIP).

    Inspiration

Anyone that has given 43 years of their life to the service of this great nation has a lot of history and a lot of adventures to remember. I enjoy reliving all these times, both good and not so great when I write. A lot of the action described in these books and the sequals are from those 43 years. I continue to associate with the troops and sailors on active duty when I fly to various bases/ As a retired disabled veteran I fly space available on military aircraft. In these travels, I stay updated as much as possible on new techniques and equipment. Its a wonderful life and I love meeting people at book signings and events that have been to some of the places I describe in my work.
