Skier, writer, relentless optimist.
Look and Listen
Biography
For my day job I work as a ski patroller--using explosives to start avalanches and my first aid skills to help injured skiers. My memoir, The Next Fifteen Minutes (working title) tells the story of what happens to my adventurous life in the mountains when my beloved husband gets cancer. In a word: everything changed. Fortunately, my husband lived. But who knew battling cancer would be easier than breaking into the competitive world of book publishing? Needless to say, I am still searching for a publisher. Ever the relentless optimist, I am currently at work on a novel.
Inspiration
My need to write germinated in my love for reading. A magical moment can occur on the page when a reader says "Aha! I knew I wasn't the only person to have that peculiar experience." Reading connects us to the universal. Which is precisely what I hope to accomplish in my writing. If a reader, in the midst of pouring through my book, can feel some connection to the writer, the universe or herself, then I have done my job.
