Biography
Born in Denver, I graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Journalism. After 12 years in daily newspaper journalism, I spent another 20 in corporate marketing and communications before founding the Fixer Publishing Group in 2009. I am married, with two children and a 3-year-old grandson.
Inspiration
I was inspired by two high school teachers, Marion Stieghorst and Eileen Ghering, and later by a college professor, Mary Crow, who later became poet laureate of the State of Colorado. Past that, my family's encouragement and criticism fuels me; and the all-too-common incompetence of writers annoys me. I enjoy groups such as this, where professional and amateur writers seek to hone their craft ... and helping writers to do that is the reason I became a published book author in the first place.
