Biography
Sandra E. Lamb began her career as a technical writer, editor, and ghostwriter of healthcare management texts. She has worked as a journalist and newspaper columnist writing on relationship, psychology, etiquette, and a variety of other topics for newspapers and national magazines, including Woman's Day, Family Circle, Hallmark Magazine, Ladies' Home Journal, The Bark, The Denver Post, The Rock Mountain News, The Globe and Mail, and others. She's now working on a narrative nonfiction book, which is scheduled to be published by Crown next year. And she is planning to finish her first novel in 2011. She lives in Denver.
Inspiration
Lamb was influenced by a storyteller father, who could bring a roomful of listeners to tears of laughter with his tales of hunting and fishing in Michigan and Canada; and knew from an early age that she would be a writer. She had that confluence of influences shared by many authors: the loss of someone close at an early age, a lonely childhood, and a love of books--especially the classics. That's where she often returns for inspiration.
