Description

I’ve never been comfortable writing about myself, except maybe in the pages of my journal, so writing this introduction has been a somewhat daunting task. Then I remind myself that the introduction is more about the book than about me. If you’ve picked up Paper Wings, you probably want to know about the poetry inside. These poems were written during the past dozen or so years. Some came out of university poetry classes. Others grew from great and lesser loves. And a few spewed forth during downright wacky moments that might never come again…at least not in the same form. While I’ve often hesitated to thrust my little darlings out into the big old world, each and every poem in this book has had at least some experience with public scrutiny. And I’m pretty sure each and every one has tasted its share of rejection. Perhaps some will again. That, I leave to you to decide.
