Neurology is the study of the nervous system and its diseases. They include a wide range of disorders, including emotional and behavior problems. Neurology is of special interest to me because I have a speech impediment, a learning disability and A D H D. People with learning disabilities comprise about ten to twenty-five percent of the population. These people often experience failure in school and often are socially dysfunctional. They also make up a disproptional number of the prison population. We all wish to save as many of these people as possible.

The relation of medicine to pshchology goes back many years. In 1907 Dr. Lightner Witmer published in, "Psychological Clinic" a nine page article on this subject.
