The Naked Truth

new

Congratulations on the debut of your book, Ms. Zurub. I was immediately drawn to its intriguing cover, its clever title, and very curious about this story and its author right away. It’s a very innovative marketing concept and the story between these alluring covers appears just as good according to the reviews on Amazon.com. I’ve added your title to my long Wish-list of books and hope to get soon. I only wish I could “look inside” the book and get a taste of this provocative story. Good luck with it! A. Seeking Representation for Debut Novel

new

Alberto Rios Arias is a former advertising copywriter turned aspiring novelist who several years ago began what he says “he was born to do”, and has held high hopes on becoming a bestselling novelist. But not just any novel will do. He explains: “I’d been writing short stories as a hobby most of my life until I was hired to write advertorials for a Home Builder’s ad agency in Pennsylvania that specialized in selling new homes. In my spare time I had written several screenplays, although, I know that I’ve found my real passion writing novels. The intimacy of these detailed stories just gets in your blood and they become a big part of your life every day. Writing is all I’ve ever loved and I’ve studied and practiced my craft diligently for many years. And I’m happy to say that after two years of writing, editing, re-writing, plotting, and polishing this work, my debut novel is complete. I’m very fortunate to have found an excellent editor to work with. I started out with a good story, but with Jill Kelly’s editing, the story has improved far and away from its fourth draft. It’s now much more focused, more professional, and very marketable. I’m very optimistic about its success and I’ve worked very hard to write not just any story, but a classic story that is meant to touch readers deeply, emotionally, and spiritually. It’s a comforting and uplifting story with plenty of ironic humor along for the journey west.” The First Chapter is posted at: http://www.adeathforbeauty.com/

Thank you for your hard work Jerry

Your advice and your point is well-taken about how aspiring writers must look and sound as professional as possible. I realize that promoting ourselves as authors can be just as important as promoting the books we've worked so hard to polish. Everything is important, every step of the way and successfully marketing and selling a novel is not easy, but not impossible. I've updated my profile and I've recently re-vamped my manuscript to make it more marketable and after two years, it is now available to agents and publishers. I believe that I've achieved my goal and that I've written the kind of story that people will be talking about, but more importantly, buying. Thanks for the opportunity to post my novel here, Jerry. You've put a lot of time and work into your website and it certainly shows. With the help of my editor, Jill Kelly, I've done the same with my debut novel. Effort for effort, we're on the same page. Continued success to you, Alberto Rios Author: A Death for Beauty
